The Gadhimai campaign against the cruel and inhumane killing of hundreds and thousands of animals in the name of religion is gaining momentum.Local and international media continue to give attention to the 'world's largest animal sacrifice'. Animal welfare groups from all over the world have joined the protest.
With the handing over of a petition and 3200 signatures to different Nepalese leaders and the organising of peaceful demonstrations in Bara and Kathmandu the Nepal leadership and public is become aware of the cruelty and health risks involved in the festival.
